Definitive Technology DI 6.5S Overview
The Definitive Technology DI 6.5S In Wall / In-Ceiling Speaker is a compact, high-quality speaker with a hidden flange and low-profile micro-perf grille. It is as easy to install as traditional flush-mount speakers without the need for specialized sheetrock skills. The speaker's grille measures 8-5/16" square, about the same size as the grilles of competitive 5-1/4" speakers.
The DI 6.5S In-Wall - In-Ceiling Speaker is easy to install, thanks to pop-out tabs that allow it to be positioned in any wall or ceiling. The speaker is just 3/16" deep and requires no special wiring or cabling.
Definitive Technology DI 6.5S Features
The DI 6.5S In-Wall - In-Ceiling Speaker features a 6.5" mid-bass woofer that utilizes BDSS driver technology to deliver more cone excursion than comparably sized speakers. This driver design also minimizes diffraction, providing natural sound distribution.
The DI 6.5S features a pure aluminum dome tweeter that pivots and has a stellar constructed housing. This patented technology helps cut out diffraction distortions that are common with conventional speakers. The BDSS(tm) technology and the specially contoured Aero Ring around the driver allow the DI 6.5S to deliver clean, distortion-free highs throughout the room.
