Definitive Technology ProMonitor 1000 Feature
The ProMonitor 1000 utilizes a 5.25'' pressure-driven planar low-frequency radiator. This allows for a wide range of low-frequency sound, which translates into rich, warm sound. It also improves power handling. A 5.25" BDSS mid-woofer is also included. This driver is engineered to deliver a wide frequency range, with a frequency response of 47Hz to 30kHz. The cabinet also features a foam grill cover over the radiator to provide extra protection. The ProMonitor 1000 is also equipped with a 1" pure aluminum dome tweeter.
Definitive Technology ProMonitor speakers also feature a unique cabinet design. This design allows the speakers to be mounted on a vertical surface or rested horizontally, which can be done using the rear-panel keyhole slot. The ProMonitor 1000 also features a pedestal foot that can be removed to mount the speaker to a stand. This design provides a more attractive and convenient setup.
The ProMonitor 1000 also uses a pressure-coupled radiator design. This design doubles the low-midrange radiating area of the speaker, resulting in a warm, lifelike sound. It also improves power handling, due to a longer voice coil.
