Description
KEF KC 62 Overview
The KEF KC 62 subwoofer is a powerful subwoofer. It delivers a strong bass response with audible and tactile feedback down to 11 Hz. The bass from the KC 62 can reach depths below the normal music notes, but it is not as powerful as a 12" subwoofer. Although it has two drivers and 1,000 watts of power, its small size limits its output.
KEF KC 62 Features
The KEF KC 62 features a high-quality crossover. The crossover extends from 35 Hz to 180 Hz at its highest setting. At its lowest setting, the crossover is a bit less than that, but is still very effective. Its low-pass filter helps to eliminate high-frequency levels.
The KEF KC 62 subwoofer has a slim extruded aluminum outer case, a volume of 246mm, and five performance presets. It is also compatible with KEF's Room Placement Equalization Features. Its slim profile and small size make it ideal for smaller rooms, and it can be placed in a cabinet or against a wall.
The KEF KC 62 has a powerful 1000W of power per channel. The subwoofer uses two 500W Class D amplifiers to achieve this. The cabinet weighs 14 kg. This makes the subwoofer a lightweight choice but the cabinet must be dense and well-damped to ensure optimum output.
