KEF R5 Overview

The KEF R7 Floor Standing Speakers are a mid-sized floor standing loudspeaker in the KEF R Series. They come in three finish options: Walnut, Black Gloss, and White Gloss. The R7 features a ported design that is perfect for acoustic environments.

KEF R5 Features

This speaker uses the Uni-Q array of 5.25-inch hybrid aluminum woofers. They are color-matched to the gloss black MDF cabinet. Two rear-firing ports help to deliver high-quality audio. These speakers also come with port plugs for low-frequency output.

The KEF R5 Floor Standing Speakers use Uni-Q technology, a refurbished motor system, and a damped cavity behind the aluminum tweeter to reduce the impact of the gap between drivers. All this translates to a powerful and authoritative presentation. They also have a composed sound.

The KEF R5 Floor Standing Speakers are rear-firing port speakers, and therefore require some space around them to breathe. For optimal results, you should place them in an open area where there is no obstruction. This will prevent boomy bass from coming through the speakers.
