KEF Reference 5 Overview
The tall, three-way KEF Reference 5 Meta Floor Standing Speakers are a perfect marriage of powerful bass drivers, two above and two below the Uni-Q array, and a vented aluminum dome tweeter. This combination reproduces the lows with consummate agility and their output creates an enveloping sound field.

The KEF Reference 5 Meta floor-standing speakers are one of the company's flagship models. The new speakers sit above the Reference 1 Meta stand-mount and Reference 3 Meta floor-standing speakers. KEF has been advancing their home audio speaker systems for over five decades, and this latest flagship speaker brings an entirely new level of quality to the table.
The Reference 5 Meta has a new Uni-Q unit, which has improved damping and efficiency. It also uses a new voice coil system and a special plate behind the unit with Metamaterial Absorption Technology.
The Reference is an impressive speaker that weighs in at 18kg. The front baffle is made of super-strength aluminum and resin composite materials, and the cabinet is made of matched wood veneer panels. The Reference comes in three standard finish options: Copper Black Aluminum, Blue Ice White, and Silver Satin Walnut.
