Lyngdorf Audio BW-2 Overview
The BW-2 is a high performance active subwoofer from Lyngdorf Audio designed for the task of reproducing music and soundtracks with full dynamics and precision. Its minimalistic - "form follows function" design ensures that all resources are focused on the best possible sound reproduction. Its frequency range in bypass mode goes up to 800 Hz, compared to traditional subwoofers that are typically limited to 120 Hz.
The Lyngdorf Audio BW-2 is a powerful, compact, and versatile boundary subwoofer that can be used in almost any system. It has two input modes, "line in" and "bypass," and can be connected to a conventional amplifier or a Lyngdorf Audio amplifier. It also has a unique feature called "ICC," which reduces the digital level of a signal to prevent it from clipping.
It is able to handle the full range of Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Auro-3D, and offers an extensive list of features such as HDMI ARC, phono input, digital crossovers, and room correction. Moreover, it features a power DAC, which Lyngdorf claims is superior to traditional analog designs.

The BW-2 is designed with a focus on discretion. Available in high-gloss black or matte white – allowing for seamless integration in any contemporary interior. It can be positioned standing upright or on the side in order to fit into the available space. This also makes it the perfect match for any stereo or home cinema system.
The internal amplifier is our own Class-D design based on our more than 15 years of experience in designing audiophile Class-D amplifiers. With an output of 400 watts it can deliver ample power to control the driver even at extreme levels.
The BW-2 has two input modes. If you set it to “Line in,” it can be used with conventional amplifiers and processors and has a frequency range from 25 to 200 Hz. As with regular subwoofers, you have control over level, frequency range, and phase adjustment.vIf you have a Lyngdorf Audio amplifier, you can bypass the internal filters. Now the frequency range goes up to 800 Hz, and you can use the BW-2 as a boundary woofer to lift the performance of your system to a new level.
Another unique feature is "ICC," which determines signals that will cause clipping, and subsequently lowers the digital level to prevent it. This is an important feature that can improve the performance of many DACs.
This ICC feature is one of the reasons that the BW-2 can be used as a boundary woofer, enabling it to lift the performance of your system to a new level. It also allows you to combine it with a pair of our MH-2 satellite speakers, and with the TDAI-2170 with its built-in RoomPerfect(tm) and digital crossovers, to produce a full range system that simply outperforms anything in or above its price range.
With a power rating of 400W, the BW-2 is the ideal subwoofer for any home theater or multichannel setup that requires a lot of power. It is also a great choice for any other kind of installation where a low-end subwoofer is needed.
Integrated into an easy to mount cabinet, the BW-2's amp module masters the signal controls and a bypass switch for direct and easy connection to Lyngdorf Audio amplifier outputs or to other audio products. It can be positioned standing upright or on its side, and the unit's design allows it to blend into any type of decor.
