Nearly always the connections, not the electronics. A momentary dropout every few minutes is a link renegotiating, not an amplifier failing.

The order I check in:

A marginal HDMI cable. When the signal integrity drops for a moment, the devices re-handshake and you get a second of silence or black. Swap the cable first, because it is free to test and it is the culprit more often than everything else combined.

ARC or eARC instability. If your audio routes through the TV back to the AVR, the TV is a middleman with its own firmware moods. Test by plugging a source straight into the AVR and playing the same content. Dropouts vanish? The TV link is the problem, and the fix is either an eARC-rated cable, a firmware update, or moving the source permanently to the AVR.

CEC power quirks. HDMI-CEC lets devices talk to each other, and sometimes what they say is "go to sleep for a moment". Disable CEC on any device that does not need it and see whether the pattern changes.

Wireless links. Bluetooth, wireless surrounds, wireless subwoofers and congested Wi-Fi all drop under interference, and Indian apartment buildings have a lot of routers within a few metres. Test the same content over a wired connection. If wired is clean, the wireless path needs a channel change or a rethink.

Loose speaker-wire strands. A stray strand that shorts under bass vibration will trip the AVR's protection for a second and then release. Reterminate neatly at both ends. This one is rare but it fools people for months, because it only happens on loud passages.

Before you call anyone, note the pattern: does it happen on all sources or one, on wired or wireless paths, on quiet or loud passages, at a fixed interval or randomly? Those four observations usually name the culprit outright, and they are what we will ask you on WhatsApp anyway. Being ready with the answers turns a diagnosis into a confirmation.
