Revel W990 Overview
The premium components of Revel in-wall loudspeakers include high-performance tweeters with waveguides, high-order crossovers, and cast-frame drivers. The waveguides and crossover networks are assembled using minimum diffraction, acoustically optimized materials to ensure minimal diffraction and uniform dispersion over a wide listening area for superior sound reproduction.
A Three-Position Tweeter Level Control gives you even more flexibility to tailor the sound for your specific application. The Revel W990 also includes a boundary compensation switch to maintain low-frequency tonal accuracy when the loudspeaker is close to a wall or corner.
All fourteen in-wall loudspeaker models have undergone exclusive HARMAN double-blind listening tests, proving their sound quality superior to the competition. These in-wall loudspeakers are perfect for any application, from background audio to high-end multichannel home theater installations.
Revel W990 Features
The W990 features Revel’s low-distortion motor structure designs with aluminum tweeters and Micro Ceramic Composite (MCC) cone woofers for true audiophile-grade performance and easy timbre-matching to Revel floorstanding, monitor and center channel loudspeakers. Installation is quick and easy with a patented installation mechanism that doesn’t require any tools for clamping to the drywall and accommodates a wide variety of wall thicknesses and construction types. For the finishing touch, frameless grilles attach magnetically giving the loudspeaker an elegant, yet unobtrusive look. All eleven in-wall loudspeaker models include square grilles to provide a perfect match for existing wall fixtures and lighting. With this new in-wall loudspeaker product line, there is a loudspeaker to suit any application from background audio to high-end multichannel home theater installations proving once again that Revel builds the World’s Finest Loudspeakers.
The new line of in-wall loudspeakers from Revel combines best-in-class acoustics with a patented tool-less installation mechanism and a sleek look that integrates easily into any decor. Drawing upon the same research, resources, and unique perspective that puts all Revel speakers in a class by themselves, these new in-wall loudspeakers set a new standard for audio performance.
Long-throw woofers with cast frames and rubber surround provide high output with low distortion 1-inch (25mm) angle-adjustable, metal-dome tweeter with an integrated waveguide provides optimized response both on and off-axis for accurate, detailed sound reproduction. Premium-quality components and a high-order crossover network deliver extraordinarily accurate timbre reproduction.
High-Frequency Level Controls and Boundary Gain Compensation Switches help optimize performance in various applications, including live rooms or unusually damped environments. An HF level control helps reduce unwanted high-frequency reflections, and a boundary gain compensation switch lets you adjust the bass response to compensate for speaker placement near an additional wall or ceiling.
Frameless Grilles Attach Magnetically For an elegant and unobtrusive look, frameless grilles attach magnetically to the front baffle of the Revel W990. The patented C-2 installation mechanism accommodates a wide variety of construction types and wall thicknesses up to two inches for easy installation.
Enhanced Tweeter Waveguide Assembly The 7-, 8- and 9-Series in-wall loudspeakers feature newly developed 1x8-inch aluminum-dome tweeters that reproduce the highest frequencies possible while delivering superior detail and accuracy. The waveguide assembly improves dispersion and reduces distortion to produce an uncolored response over a large listening area.

It depends on where you are and what you are ordering. All types of speakers will take minimum 4-5 business days as per the delivery location. Products that are not magnetic can be delivered faster if customer agrees to bear air-freight cost.
