Multi-room audio is the same or different music in several rooms, controlled from your phone. What you need depends almost entirely on what stage your house is at, so that is the first question, before any brand.

Three routes, in order of how often they fit.

Ecosystem wireless speakers. A powered speaker per room, all in one app, grouped or separated with a tap. Simplest, no wiring, works in a finished home, and it is what most families actually want once the novelty of the ambitious plan wears off. The limits are that each speaker is a small box doing everything, so the sound in each room is decent rather than serious, and you are tied to that ecosystem's app.

AVR zones. Many AVRs can power a second zone from spare channels, feeding a pair of ceiling speakers in the dining room or a pair outdoors. Efficient if the wiring exists or can still be run, because you are using amplification you already own. The catch is control: Zone 2 on most AVRs is a separate source selection and volume, and it is not always as fluid as an app.

Dedicated multi-room amplification. A rack unit feeding many zones of in-ceiling speakers, with keypads or an app per room. This is for larger homes and it is specified during construction, when the ceiling is open and cable is cheap. Trying to retrofit it after the false ceiling closes is where budgets go to die.

Deciding inputs, in order: your home's wiring stage (finished, renovating, or under construction), how many rooms actually want audio, and how seriously they want it. The realistic count is usually fewer than the number on the wishlist; the guest bedroom rarely plays anything.

Building or renovating? Run ceiling-speaker wire now, even if you buy nothing else for two years. It costs very little before the ceiling closes and a great deal after. Send us the floor plan and the stage of construction and we can mark which rooms deserve wire and which can live with a wireless speaker.
